Tetris Attack is a SNES puzzle game with a design based on the original Tetris. In it, Yoshi's friends (who live on Yoshi's Island) have all been put under a spell by the Magikoopa (a koopa magician who works for Bowser). The spell is also causing rains to flood Yoshi's Island. Yoshi has to use magic panels to free his friends from the spell, and defeat Bowser and his cronies.

Although Tetris Attack is based on the original Tetris, it is very different. The object is still to clear the panels, but the stacks of panels rise from the bottom and each square can be moved individually. To clear them, you match three or more in a horizontal or vertical row. Strategy has to be used to gain more points and defeat your opponents. Besides the player vs. computer mode, there is also a two player mode in which you can play against a friend.
